ApartmentIQ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to evolve our shared data platform, powering all three products. You will shape data capabilities, drive the roadmap by expanding coverage and freshness, and enable deeper insights for the multifamily industry.

You’ll translate product goals into high-performance data outcomes, lead data milestones, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver measurable customer value, with a strong emphasis on observability and scalable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software or data engineering delivering pipelines powering features.
• Strong experience in Python; Ruby on Rails a plus.
• Deep understanding of large-scale data collection, web scraping, parsing, proxy management, and structured feed ingestion.
• Hands-on with batch-style data workflows using dbt, Airflow, or equivalents.
• Observability: performance tracking, error monitoring, and distributed tracing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Product-Focused Data: own end-to-end data delivery across Market Research, Market Surveys, and Daylight Revenue, aligning priorities with product goals.
• Scale Data Ingestion: design and evolve ingestion pipelines handling 10M+ multifamily units via XML/JSON feeds, web scraping, warehouse transformations, and API exposure.
• Set Technical Standards: define accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for datasets to meet each product line’s needs.
• Collaborate Across Teams: work with Product and Application Engineering to unlock measurable features and insights.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: implement observability, daily monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated alerts.
