Job summary

ApartmentIQ is hiring a staff-level engineer to own the pricing data pipeline end to end. You will work across ingestion, ML, and the application layer with Python, Terraform, and Ruby. You will own the orchestration, data quality, and observability for a system that affects real pricing decisions for multifamily assets.

The role emphasizes ownership, end-to-end delivery, and the ability to work across the stack in a fast-growing PropTech company with remote-friendly policies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating production systems with ownership
• Strong Python in serverless/service context on AWS
• Hands-on Terraform for production data stores, IAM, encryption, networking and alarms
• Fluent in analytical SQL and data modeling across multiple database paradigms
• Experience owning Rails code changes in a large codebase

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end rent pricing pipeline and data models
• Tackle hard data problems from diverse property management systems
• Build infrastructure as code for databases, queues, and jobs
• Orchestrate ingestion, inference and daily jobs into a reliable pipeline
• Improve observability, data freshness and anomaly detection across the stack
• Collaborate across Python, Terraform and Ruby components and influence AI-assisted engineering practices
