You will own ingestion, modeling, and data surfaces while partnering with architecture and operations teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality data solutions. Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and operating cloud data platforms, ideally from scratch.
• Strong decision-making with incomplete information and high-stakes impact.
• Deep SQL and a modern cloud data warehouse experience (Snowflake/BigQuery/Databricks).

Responsibilities

• Own the platform-level implementation design: ingestion, modeling, and surfaces.
• Shape architecture from direction, collaborating with architecture team.
• Own integration design across diverse production sources.
• Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines from multiple systems.
• Model raw data into business-ready datasets with consistent definitions.
• Set engineering standards, data quality, and testing practices.
• Collaborate with platform and operations teams for safe data extraction.
• Engage with data consumers to ensure built solutions answer real questions.
• Mentor data engineers and shape their work.
