Job summary

Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data Operations to own reliability, observability, and health of our data platform. You will build monitoring, respond to incidents, automate repetitive tasks, and work with Snowflake infra via Terraform to ensure secure access and cost governance.

Ideal candidates bring 6–8+ years in software engineering with SRE or data-infra focus, strong observability skills, and experience with Snowflake, Terraform, and AWS.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years in software engineering with SRE/platform/data infra focus.
• Proven incident response experience with stakeholder communication.
• Deep monitoring/observability knowledge: alerting, SLOs, dashboards, RCA.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain monitoring systems, alerting pipelines, and health dashboards.
• Lead production incident response, triage, resolution, and post-mortems.
• Automate repetitive operational work to improve throughput.
• Work on Snowflake infra via Terraform, including access controls and cost monitoring.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on design, reviews, reliability focus.
• Write runbooks and platform documentation.
• Improve reliability and data accessibility across global teams.
• Suggest tooling and process improvements.
