Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Data Engineer focused on the Azure Databricks Platform to oversee the health, governance, and optimization of our cloud data environment. You will drive architecture decisions, implement scalable solutions, and mentor a team of platform engineers to deliver secure, reliable data services.

Responsibilities include roadmap definition, automation, and cost optimization for Databricks workloads, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog, while partnering with security and business

Qualifications

• 8+ years in hands-on cloud data platforms and data engineering.
• Deep Azure Databricks administration, cluster management, and job orchestration.
• Proficiency with ADLS, AAD, and networking in Azure.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee platform health, monitoring, logging, and incident response.
• Define roadmap for Azure Databricks adoption, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Manage Unity Catalog for access control and data governance.
• Mentor data engineers and enable developer practices.
• Lead and coordinate 2 platform engineers.
