Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to lead the architecture and evolution of a cloud-native data platform spanning Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will own Databricks strategy, governance, and platform standardization, driving a multi-year transformation to a unified observability and security data layer.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience architecting enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and ingestion ecosystems.
8+ years of experience designing and administering Databricks platforms (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
7+ years of experience in leadership roles shaping enterprise platform strategy and multi-cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

Define and own the architecture, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for enterprise data platforms.
Architect and scale high-volume ingestion across 250+ TB per day for logs, metrics, and telemetry.
Lead enterprise Databricks architecture, including multi-cloud accounts, governance, and security controls.
Drive Infrastructure-as-Code and Policy-as-Code adoption, with automated provisioning and CI/CD pipelines.
