CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to lead architecture and governance of the Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake. You will set the technology strategy for a cloud‑native data platform handling hundreds of terabytes daily across Azure, AWS, and GCP, with emphasis on security, observability, and platform standardization.

You will own Databricks platform strategy, drive infrastructure‑as‑code, policy‑as‑code, and enterprise‑grade CI/CD, and guide multi‑year

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience architecting, building, and operating enterprise‑scale cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years designing and administering Databricks platforms (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
• 8+ years implementing Infrastructure‑as‑Code and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• 7+ years designing high‑scale streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
• 5+ years leading enterprise data platform strategy, multi‑cloud across Azure/AWS/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define and own architecture, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for the Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake.
• Architect and scale ingestion/processing for 250+ TB per day across logs, metrics, traces, and security events.
• Govern Databricks architecture including multi‑cloud accounts, workspace strategies, and security models.
• Lead Infrastructure‑as‑Code, Policy‑as‑Code, and CI/CD automation for platform operations.
• Establish security, governance, observability, and reliability practices aligned with OTEL/OCSF.
