Job summary

ZoomInfo is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Analytical Data team, building and running data pipelines and managing Iceberg-backed datasets. You’ll work across Kotlin, Python and Java, with production-grade streaming and batch processing.

You’ll collaborate with data producers and consumers, ensuring data freshness, quality, and observability, while contributing to platform roadmaps and governance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in data engineering or distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Kotlin, Java, or Python; work across Kotlin and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Beam or Apache Spark in production.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or a similar streaming platform in production pipelines.
• Experience with very large datasets and distributed systems design.

Responsibilities

• Build and run Kotlin and Apache Beam pipelines on Google Cloud Dataflow.
• Keep large Iceberg tables correct, fast, and cost-efficient with partitioning and maintenance jobs.
• Make datasets queryable from BigQuery, Snowflake, and Starburst/Trino via Iceberg catalogs.
• Collaborate with producer teams on schemas and data contracts.
• Develop observability with Datadog dashboards and monitors.
• Own pipelines in production from incident response to fixes.
• Ship through CI/CD and Terraform-managed infrastructure across GCP and AWS.
• Collaborate daily with data consumers and platform teams to shape the roadmap.
