Job summary

Pearson is hiring a Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer in the United States. The role combines Python-based backend development with modern frontend work, data engineering pipelines, and AWS cloud services.

You will work across Django/DRF, Nuxt/Vue, serverless AWS, and data transformation frameworks like AWS Glue to build scalable, secure, and resilient systems for enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python-based backend development and Django-DRF frameworks.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Hands-on with AWS serverless and infrastructure services.
• Frontend work with Nuxt Vue TypeScript.
• Data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows in data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.
• Build and document RESTful APIs using DRF/OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Implement data validation and API response modeling with Pydantic.
• Create secure authentication with django-rest-knox, OAuth, and Azure AD integrations.
• Develop frontend with Nuxt 4, Vue 3, and TypeScript; manage state with Pinia.
