The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) is seeking a Senior Business Systems Consultant to collaborate with staff across the agency and external partners, ensuring quality and stability of Data Exchange and E-Services products. This role analyzes needs, develops solutions, coordinates processes, and tests for performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate brings strong program, project, and portfolio management experience, technical systems know-how, and the ability to communicate effectively

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.
• Ability to articulate or demonstrate the organization's business systems and applications.
• Advanced knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply that knowledge.
• Ability to lead and coordinate across teams and vendors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in public service or government context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the utilization of technical services to resolve business issues within the enterprise, agency, program area, division or product line.
• Provides technical leadership on complex business intelligence projects and acts as a Subject Matter Expert in business or functional area.
• Lead re-engineering efforts and participate as a project manager when needed.
• Develops technical standards and policies to meet customer needs and management expectations.
• Establishes contracts for procurement of technical business solutions.
• Maintains strategic partnerships with customers to meet business and technical needs.
• Translates business requirements into system requirement specifications and analyzes user needs.
• Facilitates the delivery of technical business solutions and manages stakeholder expectations.
