Job summary

Daxko is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve data pipelines and architecture across our product lines. You will collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to make data more reliable and accessible, coaching junior engineers and driving technical quality.

In this role, you will design ETL/ELT processes, optimize queries, and leverage Snowflake, Redshift, and Databricks to scale our analytics platform. A strong communicator thrives in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data engineering or related software engineering experience.
• Expert-level SQL/TSQL and query optimization.
• Python for pipelines and applications.
• Experience with columnar databases and cloud-native platforms (Snowflake/Redshift/Databricks).
• Experience designing ETL/ELT and dimensional models (Kimball a plus).
• Proven track record of production-grade code and Agile delivery.
• Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across product lines.
• Own data architecture decisions, schema design, ETL/ELT strategy.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement fixes for reliability and freshness.
• Lead and participate in code/design reviews.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to expand data use across the organization.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold technical quality.
• Evaluate new data tools and methodologies to boost velocity.
