Job summary

The Phoenix Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data and technology team in the financial services space. You will build and support data pipelines and infrastructure used across the business.

You will work with Python, SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Databricks, and AWS to enable reliable data-driven decisions, data quality, and scalable data platforms across functions and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Experience using dbt for data transformation.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for orchestration.
• Experience working with Databricks.
• Strong experience with AWS.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large datasets.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling.
• Experience working in financial services, asset management, banking, fintech, or a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow.
• Develop and manage data transformations within Snowflake.
• Work with Databricks for large-scale data processing and engineering.
• Build and support cloud-based data solutions in AWS.
• Integrate data from internal systems, third-party platforms, APIs, and financial data sources.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines to ensure data is accurate and available.
• Improve the performance and reliability of existing data processes.
• Work with business, analytics, and technology teams to understand data requirements.
• Help establish standards around data quality, testing, documentation, and deployment.
• Support the continued development and modernization of the firm's data platform.
