Job summary

Jump is a remote-first team transforming the live sports experience with a unified fan engagement platform. This Senior Data Engineer will own the data stack powered by Snowflake and dbt, building robust pipelines and models used from internal dashboards to client-facing products.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data engineering experience.
• Deep Snowflake and SQL expertise.
• Proficiency with dbt, testing, and deployment.
• Strong Python and data pipeline skills.
• Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting in pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ELT pipelines with dbt models in Snowflake.
• Design and maintain reliable data orchestration workflows.
• Write and maintain dbt tests to catch issues early.
• Document models and sources for data discoverability.
• Build monitoring and alerting to surface pipeline failures.
• Optimize Snowflake design and materialization for performance and cost.
• Evolve Snowflake access controls and governance.
• Gather internal and client data needs, then deliver.
• Apply engineering discipline: version control, CI/CD, code review.
• Develop data infra for AI/ML use cases with reliable data access.
