Job summary

Oowlish is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in a Remote – United States (Midwest Preferred) role to design and enhance cloud-based data solutions. You will build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize Snowflake data models, and ensure data quality across enterprise systems for premier clients in the US and Europe.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering, deep Snowflake experience, and strong SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Excellent English communication skills and collaboration in Agile teams.
• Based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and optimize data models in Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
• Develop data transformation processes for BI and downstream apps.
• Integrate CRM, ERP, billing, and other enterprise systems.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Support evolution of modern cloud-native data architecture with Snowflake and dbt.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering practices.
