Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead data engineering efforts within SHI One and the Advanced Solutions Group.

You will analyze, design and develop ETL workflows, clarify business needs with stakeholders, and guide the data integration strategy across multiple sources to centralize and optimize data for analytics. You will establish a new data engineering practice, mentor colleagues, and help set standards for architecture, testing and documentation across the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required.
• 10+ years in data applications, relational databases and ETL platforms.
• Advanced data modeling, database design and data warehousing expertise.
• Strong SQL scripting and data integration capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Ability to shift priorities with analytical problem-solving and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Drive data strategy, designs for data models, warehouses and analytics systems.
• Coach team members through code/design reviews to ensure quality and standards.
• Ship high-quality solutions and maintain technical excellence across the team.
• Collaborate with developers, stakeholders and customers for smooth data systems.
• Extend data engineering environment focusing on developer experience and testing.
• Recommend continuous improvements for ETL processes and data workflows.
• Help optimize end-to-end data architecture including technology selection and security.
• Create and maintain technical docs, diagrams and visuals for teams and stakeholders.
• Review data architecture best practices with the team.
