Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to support a DHS-focused data analytics and BI platform.

This remote role guides a cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, developers, and staff to deliver scalable data pipelines and reliable data provisioning for federal customers. Requirements include 10+ years IT experience, US citizenship, ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance, and strong Python/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience including design, analysis, and implementation of large-scale data architectures.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS Cloud native data and AI technologies.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, big data tools, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Complete development across data pipeline design, storage, and provisioning.
• Partner with data scientists, data architects, and stakeholders to deploy enhancements.
• Write code ensuring performance and reliability of data extraction and processing.
• Support automation for data ingest and upstream data format changes.
• Promote lean-agile engineering practices and document complex requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver improvements.
• Lead efforts to vet new technologies and assess risks.
• Mentor team and ensure customer-focused solutions.
