Everforth ECS is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to support a high-priority DHS OCIO data analytics initiative.

This remote role guides a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, and developers to deliver scalable data pipelines and production models for federal customers. You will own data architecture decisions, implement lean-agile practices, ensure data quality, and mentor engineers while collaborating with stakeholders at multiple leadership levels.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with large-scale data architectures.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Everforth ECS is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to work remotely . Everforth ECS is seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer to support a rapidly growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform focused on providing data solutions that empower our federal customers. In this role, you will be guiding a cross-functional team (composed of data scientists, data engineers, developers, and functional staff) to support our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) customer. The project being supported is extremely high priority and has a lot of visibility from senior Federal leadership. The Sr. Data Engineer will be a key member of our team. They will provide critical support in product discovery using their data expertise to merge technical, business, and customer needs into achievable objectives and driving the completion of those objectives. As an expert in delivering technical projects, the Engineer will identify challenges and improvements to process, organizational practices, technical innovation, and culture; then lead cross functional team members to solution and deliver improvements.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete development efforts across data pipeline to store, manage, store, and provision to data consumers.
• Partner with data scientists, data architects, and federal stakeholders to deploy models in production.
• Write code to ensure the performance and reliability of data extraction and processing.
• Support continuous process automation for data ingest.
• Achieve technical excellence by advocating for and adhering to lean-agile engineering principles and practices such as API-first design, simple design, continuous integration, version control, and automated testing.
• Work with program management and engineers to implement and document complex and evolving requirements.
• Help cultivate an environment that promotes customer service excellence, innovation, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Ability to vet new and novel technologies in the big data space and make recommendations and articulate risk involved with each solution.
• Collaborate with others as part of a cross-functional team that includes user experience researchers and designers, product managers, engineers, and other functional specialists.

• Building solutions that make use of data to improve business insights, help with operational decisions, and support performance management.
• Knowledge of Data Management and Data Architecture concepts, Data Warehousing and Big Data tools, Data Analytics and applicable knowledge of Data Science concepts and tools.
• Experience working and deploying AWS Cloud native data and AI technologies.

Salary: $150,000 - $160,000
