Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and manage data pipelines across multiple ERP systems. You will develop Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers and ensure a single source of truth for analytics.

You’ll mentor SQL developers, collaborate with BI teams and business stakeholders, and help modernize the platform during a Google Cloud migration while upholding governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-7+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database development.
• Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-ERP environments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models and schemas (Bronze/Silver/Gold) enabling a single source of truth.
• Platform Modernization: Lead build-out of the data platform for Google Cloud migration and governed processes.
• AI-Enabled Engineering: Explore AI tools to optimize pipeline code and delivery.
• Data Quality & Governance: Build governance and validation into pipelines to ensure data integrity.
• Technical Mentorship: Provide leadership and code-review guidance to SQL Developers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate business requirements into data structures for stakeholders.
• Documentation: Maintain clear technical docs across data flows and architecture.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce data handling and access control across ERP instances.
