Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Co. is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for a hybrid role based near Crescent locations in the United States. You will architect, build, and manage data pipelines across multiple ERP systems, creating Bronze/Silver/Gold layers and a single source of truth.

You will mentor SQL Developers, collaborate with BI teams and stakeholders, and drive governance, security, and performance across data flows. Strong cloud and AI tooling experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 5-7+ years of data engineering, ETL, or DB development experience.
• Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-ERP environments is a plus.
• Strong SQL and relational DB skills; NoSQL knowledge is a plus.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or equivalents.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS); GCP preferred.
• Solid data modeling knowledge including medallion architectures.
• Scripting (Python) for automation and data transformation is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (Eclipse/Epicor) is a plus.
• Ability to mentor developers and lead code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from source systems into a governed data platform.
• Develop and maintain Bronze/Silver/Gold data models and schemas for a single source of truth.
• Lead platform modernization toward Google Cloud migration and auditable processes.
• Learn and apply AI coding tools to optimize pipeline code and delivery.
• Incorporate data quality, governance, and error-handling in pipeline design.
• Provide indirect leadership and code-review guidance to SQL developers.
• Collaborate with DBAs, BI developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Document data flows, transformations, and architecture for continuity.
• Ensure data security and compliance across ERP instances.
