Job summary

Immersive Labs in Bristol, UK, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will design, build and maintain Python applications for customer-facing reporting, and collaborate with analytics engineers to refine data models.

You will drive data pipelines, data quality and performance, leveraging SQL, dbt, and cloud data warehouses across AWS/Azure/GCP in a hybrid environment. We value curiosity, collaboration, and impactful contributions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python programming with experience using Plotly and application development; Flask and SQLAlchemy a plus
• Experience maintaining data pipelines, infrastructure as code, and implementing data model changes
• Experience with software engineering best practices like version control and CI
• Strong SQL skills in cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and performance optimization
• Experience with dbt for data transformation
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high quality Python apps for customer facing reporting
• Maintain data pipelines to ensure data quality and consistency
• Collaborate closely with analytics engineers to implement data model changes
• Apply domain knowledge to enable the rest of the business to access the data they need to make informed business decisions
