Job summary

Vital Services seeks a Senior Data Engineer to architect and optimize data pipelines and storage solutions across multiple core systems. You will collaborate with department leads to translate business needs into robust BI data delivery and reliable data synchronization.

The role focuses on building scalable pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and supporting reporting for strategic goals within a hybrid IT environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated data engineering experience with large-scale production databases and high-compliance distributed data environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with cloud data storage architectures (AWS, Azure) and data pipelines.
• Ability to ensure data integrity and governance.
• Experience with API data integration and complex data sources.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and storage solutions to ingest, transform, and move high-volume data securely.
• Define and optimize data models for reporting and operational applications.
• Monitor data flows to ensure completeness, accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Map out and resolve data dependencies across external APIs, legacy databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data and development teams to document and deliver data updates.
