Job summary

Immersive Labs in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and scale the data engineering team, owning the data function and ensuring reliable, scalable data solutions across the organization.

You will partner with product, analytics, and commercial teams to implement the data strategy, drive modernization, and mentor engineers to achieve high performance and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data engineering or data platform teams.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures and cloud-based data platforms.
• Credibility engaging with technical and non-technical audiences to set vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the data engineering team (8+ engineers).
• Define and execute the data engineering strategy aligned with product priorities.
• Modernize data infrastructure including cloud data warehouse and orchestration layers.
• Set and monitor team performance metrics and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and commercial teams to ensure value delivery.
• Advocate for scalable, secure, and future-proof data solutions.
• Represent the data function in senior leadership discussions.
• Build an inclusive, high-performing culture where team members grow and own their work.
