AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing and implementing complex data solutions across systems to support analytics and operations.

The role leads major development efforts, mentors junior engineers, and ensures scalable data infrastructure in a healthcare setting. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in data engineering, and experience with SQL Server, data modeling, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
• Master's degree in a relevant technical field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in a healthcare or regulated industry.
• Prior experience with healthcare data systems, compliance, and reporting.
• Experience in data modeling, SQL Server, and cloud technologies required.
• Advanced certification in data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Big Data Specialty) preferred.
• Experience with machine learning pipelines or real‑time streaming data preferred.
• Experience influencing architectural decisions across teams preferred.
• Experience with EZCAP or other claim payment systems preferred.
• Experience with Epic or other EMR systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Tableau preferred.
