AltaMed Health Services seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement complex data solutions across multiple systems, guiding architecture and governance improvements for analytics and operations.

The role leads major development efforts, mentors junior engineers, and ensures the availability and scalability of data infrastructure to support decision making and service delivery in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with healthcare data systems, compliance, and reporting.
• Experience with data modeling, SQL Server, and cloud technologies.
• Advanced certifications in data platforms preferred (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS).
• Experience with ML pipelines or real‑time streaming data preferred.
• Experience influencing architectural decisions across teams preferred.
• Experience with EZCAP or other claim payment systems preferred.
• Experience with Epic or other EMR systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Tableau preferred.
• Experience working at an MSO or health plan preferred.
