Job summary

BRG is launching a Financial Services Operations & Technology practice and seeks Managing or Senior Managing Consultant level data engineers to lead AI-enabled data platforms in the US. You will design batch/streaming pipelines, guide engineers, and collaborate with domain experts, AI specialists, and risk teams to deliver production-quality data foundations and roadmaps.

You will mentor staff, develop reusable assets, contribute to proposals, and work across client teams to translate business

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience for Managing Consultant level or 7+ for Senior Managing Consultant.
• Hands-on delivery of production data pipelines and data products.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for ingestion and transformation across APIs, databases, files, and documents.
• Experience with warehouse or lakehouse models (Spark, dbt, Snowflake) and schema design choices.
• Data quality, lineage, access controls, and sensitive-data controls in production.
• Structured and unstructured data prep for AI retrieval and indexing.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering workstreams from discovery through production handover.
• Design and build batch and streaming pipelines in Python and SQL.
• Develop ingestion for structured records and unstructured documents.
• Design data models to support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Implement data quality, lineage, and access controls with security teams.
• Prepare data for AI retrieval with parsing, chunking, and indexing.
