Job summary

Intellectsoft is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead migration from SQL Server to AWS Redshift, building production-grade dbt models and mentoring the team through the process. You will architect the dbt project, establish best practices, and ensure a scalable, high-performance reporting environment.

The role requires strong dbt Core expertise, Redshift optimization, SQL translation from T-SQL, and good English communication, with remote-friendly setups across listed locations.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in dbt Core.
• Deep knowledge of AWS Redshift and columnar database optimization.
• Strong SQL proficiency: ability to read and rewrite legacy T-SQL for Redshift.
• At least Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dbt models leveraging existing Redshift pipelines.
• Analyze, deconstruct, and migrate legacy T-SQL procedures into modular, optimized Redshift SQL models via dbt.
• Architect the dbt project structure and provide data modeling guidance to the engineering team.
• Execute and optimize batch data transformation workflows within Redshift.
