Job summary

Modivcare is hiring a Cloud Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain dbt projects and enterprise data pipelines in a modern AWS-based data platform. You will model dimensional schemas, optimize performance, and collaborate with analytics teams to deliver trusted datasets for reporting and AI initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on dbt, SQL, Python, and AWS Redshift across batch and near real-time data flows, with CI/CD and Agile collaboration across remote and on-site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering (or equivalent).
• Five or more years of experience in data warehousing or cloud data engineering roles.
• Experience with dbt Core and data transformation frameworks.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and performance optimization skills.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain dbt projects, models, tests, and reusable transformation frameworks.
• Build and optimize cloud data pipelines and data warehouse structures (Redshift, S3, Glue).
• Develop dimensional models (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schemas) for reporting.
• Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to deliver trusted datasets.
• Support CI/CD processes and documentation for data projects.
