Job summary

Harken Data is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines leveraging AWS, Snowflake, DBT, SQL, and Python. You will build scalable ETL/ELT processes and support BI/analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities include data modeling in Snowflake, data quality checks, governance, and enabling dashboards in Looker, Omni, or Power BI. Remote/hybrid work option with strong collaboration across analytics teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of Data Engineering with hands-on AWS/Snowflake experience.
Strong SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT development skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using DBT, Python, and SQL.
Work with Snowflake for data warehousing, performance tuning, and data modeling.
Build and manage data infrastructure on AWS, including S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, etc.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting.
Collaborate with analytics and business teams to deliver clean and reliable datasets.
Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and validation frameworks.
Support BI tools such as Looker, Omni, or Power BI for dashboarding and reporting.
Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
