Job summary

Empower is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure and ingestion frameworks on AWS, enabling data-driven reporting for internal teams and external vendors. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement governance and security, mentor engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions while staying current with data engineering trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 4 to 6 years of data engineering experience building scalable ingestion frameworks.
• Strong Python and PySpark with hands-on AWS experience.
• Proficient SQL and experience with Postgres/Redshift/MySQL.
• Experience with ETL design, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data and file ingestion frameworks.
