Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Data Engineer to support a Data Intelligence Platform. The role focuses on data modeling, services, pipelines, and AWS-based data infrastructure for reporting, analytics, and data science.

The position spans cloud architecture, database performance, pipeline automation, and collaboration with data scientists and internal teams. Candidates should have deep SQL, Spark, and AWS experience, plus CI/CD and modern data tooling.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of experience designing and developing cloud-based data models, ETL pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data, and proficiency with SQL across databases.
• Experience with Spark, AWS services (EMR, Glue), Kafka or Kinesis, and version control.

Responsibilities

• Participate in architecture design and implementation of scalable data solutions.
• Create data models from scratch using strong SQL fundamentals.
• Write and optimize in-application SQL statements for performance.
• Ensure database performance, security, and availability; handle upgrades and migrations.
• Design, build, and automate deployment of data pipelines and applications.
• Collaborate with data science teams on reporting, transformation, and data access.
