Job summary

Oracle is seeking an engineer to contribute to the planning, design, and optimization of data center white space in the United States. The role involves rack layout, containment, power distribution, cabling, and evolving build phases, with collaboration across facilities, construction operations, and partner teams.

The position emphasizes developing design standards, documenting layouts and BOMs, and supporting scalable, high-performance infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, design, and optimization of data center white space.
• Ability to translate requirements from concept into robust, executable white space designs.
• Proven track record collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and optimization of data center white space (rack layout, containment, power, cabling).
• Maintain detailed white space documentation (room layouts, rack elevations, BOM, cabling designs).
• Support development of design standards and Basis of Design documents.
• Develop low voltage structured cabling systems to support scalable compute/storage/network.
• Review site layouts and proposed fit-outs for compliance and improvements.
