Job summary

Oracle Corporation in Texas is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to identify opportunities to upgrade server components and support network infrastructure. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work 10–12 hour shifts.

You will monitor ticketing systems and collaborate with teams following SOPs/MOPs for change control. Ideal candidates have 0–2+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and willingness to work a rotating day/night schedule including weekends

Qualifications

Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware systems and components.
Excellent time management skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Shift schedule that rotates. Includes nights, weekends and holidays.
IT Hardware Concepts knowledge (RAID, Linux/Unix, CLI)
Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

Identifies opportunities for others to replace or upgrade server components.
Validates cabling, checking network environment build and connectivity is established.
Monitors and assigns work in ticketing environment, mentoring less experienced technicians or implementing technical solutions.
Trains advance fix and repair techniques that align with SOPs and MOPs for operational Data Center Change Control processes.
Acts as a technical liaison for technical and non-technical teams, providing SME to identify and resolve resiliency, reliability, and availability risks.
