Job summary
Oracle, in partnership with Washington Vets to Tech, seeks a Senior Data Center Technician in Ashburn, VA. You will bridge engineering and live data center operations, applying WaV2T training to troubleshoot servers, networks, and facilities in a 24/7 environment.
The role requires WaV2T pathway completion with CompTIA Tech+ and Linux+ certs, and 0–1 years IT/data center experience; willing to relocation to Phoenix, AZ may be needed.
Qualifications
- WaV2T Server and Cloud Application: Data Center Technician Pathway completion with Tech+/Linux+ certs.
- 0-1 years IT infra, military comms, electronics, or data center support experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting servers, networking devices, and IT equipment with hands-on labs and real-world training.
- Knowledge of data center operations, electrical, cooling, airflow, and rack commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and optimize server and network hardware.
- Respond to incidents affecting facility or IT operations and triage accordingly.
- Diagnose and repair servers and networking equipment per best practices.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams.
- Manage inventory and logistics with accurate asset records.
- Participate in 24/7 shift rotations for continuous operations.
- Plan and commission new rack equipment and data center cabling.
- Adhere to compliance, safety, and environmental regulations.
