Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Technician to join its 24/7 operations in Phoenix, AZ. You will bridge engineering and data center operations, applying WaV2T-trained skills to troubleshoot servers, networks, and facilities while maintaining rigorous documentation and procedures.

Applicants should have WaV2T pathway completion with CompTIA Tech+ and/or Linux+ certifications, plus 0–1 years in IT infrastructure or related fields. A relocation to Phoenix is required or expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of the WaV2T Server and Cloud Application: Data Center Technician Pathway with CompTIA Tech+ and/or Linux+ certification (or equivalent military training).
• 0-1 years in IT infrastructure, military communications, electronics, or data center support roles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting servers, networking devices, and IT equipment with hands-on labs and real-world training.
• Knowledge of data center operations including electrical, cooling, airflow, and rack equipment commissioning.
• Strong skills in structured cabling and inventory management.
• Understanding of basic systems administration (Linux/Windows), network fundamentals, and IT hardware concepts.
• Physically able to lift up to 25kg and work in confined or elevated settings.
• Must be located near or willing to relocate to Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and optimize server and network hardware using WaV2T training and CompTIA certifications.
• Respond to and triage incidents affecting facility or IT operations.
• Diagnose and repair servers and networking equipment following best practices.
• Serve as a technical liaison between engineering and data center operations.
• Manage inventory and logistics with accurate asset records.
• Participate in 24/7 shift rotations to support continuous operations.
• Plan and commission new rack equipment and assist with data center design and cabling.
• Adhere to compliance, safety, and environmental regulations.
