Job summary

Oracle Data Center Technician in Phoenix, AZ partners with WaV2T to support transitioning service members and veterans as they begin civilian tech careers. You will troubleshoot server, network, and facilities issues while supporting 24/7 data center operations.

This role leverages WaV2T training and CompTIA/Linux certifications, involves documentation, inventory management, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure reliable Oracle cloud services.

Qualifications

• Completion of WaV2T Server and Cloud Application: Data Center Technician Pathway with CompTIA Tech+ and/or Linux+ certifications.
• 0–1 years of IT infrastructure or data center support experience (including military service).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting servers, networking devices, and IT equipment.
• Knowledge of data center operations, including electrical, cooling, airflow management, and rack equipment commissioning.
• Strong skills in structured cabling and inventory management.
• Understanding of Linux/Windows, SSH, DNS, DHCP, RAID, SAN, x86, SCSI, FC, and remote management tools.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 kg and work in confined/elevated settings.
• Must be located near or willing to relocate to Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and optimize server and network hardware using WaV2T training and CompTIA certs.
• Respond to incidents affecting facility or IT operations with proper prioritization.
• Diagnose and repair servers and networking equipment per best practices.
• Serve as a technical liaison with engineering and non-technical teams.
• Manage inventory and spare parts with accurate records.
• Participate in 24/7 shift rotations to support continuous operations.
• Plan and commission new rack equipment and assist with cabling.
• Adhere to compliance, safety, and environmental regulations.
