Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Structural Engineer to join the design team in Seattle, WA or Austin, TX. You will design resilient DC facilities, work with architects and engineers, and guide structural requirements across projects globally.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and uptime, with opportunities to influence prototypical DC designs and support rapid deployment of data center infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering required.
Professional Engineer License required.
7+ years in structural design for industrial/commercial projects.
5+ years in data center, mission critical, hospital, schools, or towers.
Proficiency with building codes (IBC/ASCE).
Master's degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design prototypical data center facilities.
Provide technical guidance to team members and review milestone drawings.
Solve large-scale implementation issues and ensure structural design requirements.
Collaborate with architects, engineers and designers across projects.
Travel internationally as needed to support projects.
