Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Structural Engineer to join its design team in Seattle, Washington. You will contribute to the design of resilient, cost-effective DC facilities and help achieve world-class uptime for AWS customers.

The role involves guiding the structural team, reviewing drawings, and ensuring compliance with IBC/ASCE, with opportunity to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects.
• 5+ years of experience with design of Data Center, Mission Critical, Hospital, Schools, Commercial or Residential Tower facilities.
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standard including IBC and ASCE.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop basis for DC structural systems with Architects and Engineers.
• Review milestone drawings and resolve large-scale implementation issues.
• Provide technical guidance on structural requirements for prototypical DC facilities.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards; support travel as needed.
