Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Structural Engineer to join the design team in Seattle, Washington or Austin, Texas. The role focuses on designing resilient, cost-efficient data center facilities and providing technical guidance across the project lifecycle.

You will work with Architects, Engineers and Designers to solve complex structural challenges, review consultant drawings, and contribute to standardizing prototypical DC designs for global deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License.
• 7+ years experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects.
• 5+ years of experience with design of Data Center, Mission Critical, Hospital, Schools, Commercial or Residential Tower facilities.
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standard including IBC and ASCE.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• Ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Join Amazon DC design team for Americas Region and design prototypical DC facilities.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and review milestone drawings by consultants.
• Solve large-scale implementation issues and ensure structural design requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Architects, Engineers and Designers to deliver secure, reliable DC facilities.
• Support cross-region projects and contribute to cost-effective, efficient designs.
