Job summary
Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA seeks a Data Center Structural Engineer to join the design team. You will design resilient data center facilities, provide technical guidance, and review drawings to ensure cost effectiveness and uptime.
You will work with architects, engineers and designers to solve large-scale issues and ensure structural integrity for prototypical DC facilities worldwide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering.
- 7+ years experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects.
- 5+ years of experience with design of Data Center, Mission Critical, Hospital, Schools, Commercial or Residential Tower facilities.
- Proficiency in building codes and regulations including IBC and ASCE.
- Planning on obtaining Professional Engineering License in next 12 months.
- US Citizen.
Responsibilities
- Design resilient, cost-effective DC facilities and meet uptime goals.
- Provide technical guidance to team members and review complex drawings.
- Review milestone drawings by consultants and resolve issues.
- Solve large-scale implementation challenges in prototypical DC facilities.
- Be responsible for structural design requirements and documentation.
