Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Sr. Account Manager in California to build long-term relationships with clients, configure and quote product solutions, and coordinate cross-functional resources to drive profitable orders.

The role involves travel across the territory, strengthening relationships with contractors, engineers, and owners who rely on critical data center equipment. You will lead initiatives, coach team members, and meet ambitious sales targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in large account sales or account management.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, business, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience with data center applications and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a sales plan and pursuit strategy for each existing account and finds new opportunities and clients.
• Develops and strengthens relationships with a portfolio of clients, connecting with executives and stakeholders.
• Negotiates product opportunities and coordinates cross-functional resources to secure cross-selling opportunities.
• Manages orders to maximize profitability and meet customer requirements.
• Supports company initiatives and strives to meet sales quotas with a growing pipeline.
• Achieves increasing sales quotas while expanding opportunities to at least 3x assigned quota.
