Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Market Technical Manager (MTM) to oversee data center operations for a regional portfolio. You will coordinate MEP, telecom, security, and electrical systems across multiple sites, travelling monthly for audits and ensuring adherence to standards.

You will lead complex projects, review design drawings (AutoCAD/Visio), manage customer and internal teams, and drive improvements in operating procedures and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years related experience, or 15 years data center experience.
• Expertise in critical MEP infrastructure operations including UPS, emergency generators, critical cooling, CRAC and electrical distribution.
• Understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations and multi-tenant data center occupancy limitations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and analyze/interpret AutoCAD and Visio documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage technical, telecom, security, MEP systems and operations for Market property portfolio.
• Travel monthly to properties for audits, spending a few days at a time.
• Audit MOPs and equipment SOPs for quality and conformance with standards.
• Collect and report operating metrics to track site performance.
• Coordinate major activities among sites and track issues to resolution.
• Support construction, testing and commissioning of new data centers.
• Develop operating standards, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Review drawings and site surveys to identify MEP and operational characteristics.
• Manage relationships with customers, property management and sales teams.
• Oversee installation standards for AC/DC power systems.
