Job summary

Digital Realty seeks a Market Technical Manager (MTM) - Data Center Operations to oversee technical, telecom, security, MEP, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems across the Market portfolio of data centers. You’ll coordinate operations for turn-key flex and central plant solutions and mentor teams toward operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, 10+ years in data center ops or 15 years experience in lieu.
• Expertise in critical MEP infrastructure operations (UPS, generators, cooling, CRAC, electrical distribution).
• Strong understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations and their limitations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and estimate client installation costs.
• Strong ability to analyze CAD/Visio documents and propose solutions with limited information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to customer service and experience developing standards and project tracking documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility site visits to audit and direct operations and engineering personnel.
• Perform periodic audits of maintenance MOPs and SOPs to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Perform periodic audits of site Change Management activity for accuracy and quality of documentation.
• Collect and report operating metrics for sites to track performance and efficiency.
• Coordinate major activities among sites and track outstanding issues to resolution.
• Support site teams during construction, testing and commissioning of new data centers.
• Develop operating standards, processes and procedures, rules and regulations.
• Review drawings and perform site surveys to identify mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
