Job summary

Digital Realty Trust is seeking a Manager Data Center Operations to oversee local data center operations, including engineering operations, construction management, and service delivery such as colocation and connectivity.

You will lead a team to ensure 24x7 uptime, manage budgets and vendor contracts, and coordinate with Sales Engineering, Design & Construction and Colocation Operations to meet customer needs while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Experience with mission-critical systems and electrical distribution.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, networking and connectivity standards.
• Experience managing budgets and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance and repair of mission critical equipment and systems 24x7.
• Supervise construction activity to ensure standards and tests.
• Witness equipment testing during commissioning and validate operations.
• Manage provisioning of data center services including colocation, connectivity and deployment.
• Act as primary technical contact for data center customers during incidents and day-to-day operations.
