Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Mechanical Critical Facility Technician to maintain and repair the complex mechanical systems in data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants.

This role requires a strong HVAC background and relevant certifications to support mission-critical environments. The candidate should have 6+ years of related experience, pass the NITC Journey-Level HVAC exam within the first year, possess EPA 608 certification, and be eligible for a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or higher.
• 6+ years of work experience including 3+ years in a critical facility operation (data center/hospital).
• Government security investigation required; ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and operate complex HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH units, and air handling units.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems (pumps, valves, piping).
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Monitor environmental controls using BMS platforms (Niagara Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls).
• Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams; document work in CMMS.
