Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Critical Facility Technician to maintain and repair complex HVAC systems in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants.

The role requires a strong HVAC background, ability to read diagrams, and CMMS proficiency. Candidates should have 10+ years in the field, 3+ years in critical facilities, and be eligible for a Secret clearance. EPA 608 certification is preferred or can be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 10+ years in relevant field preferred.
• 3+ years direct experience in a critical facility operation (data center/hospital).
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• EPA 608 Certification required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with chillers >300 tons, boilers, or equivalent machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and optimize HVAC systems in critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, manufacturing).
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing components (pumps, valves, piping).
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems; read mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams.
• Monitor and control environmental systems using BMS platforms (Niagara Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls).
• Use CMMS to document work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities.
