Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer with a strong background in data center and industrial environments to support our U.S. Places Design & Engineering business.

You will lead the fire protection discipline across multiple concurrent projects, guiding from pursuit through construction administration, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams, and delivering construction-ready packages using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and related software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related.
• PE license in Fire Protection (U.S.) required.
• Experience designing fire protection for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and IFC/IBC/FM Global guidelines.
• Ability to deliver Issued for Construction design packages and coordinate with MEP teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design for data centers and mission-critical facilities.
• Develop construction-ready design packages with drawings, specs, and BIM coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to integrate systems.
• Support proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and client engagement.
• Perform site assessments and fire protection studies for data centers.
• Utilize Revit, BIM platforms, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and fire protection software.
