Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Critical Environments Technician to maintain HVAC, Electrical, and Automated Control systems in a data-center environment.

You will monitor operations, perform routine inspections, and respond to faults to minimize downtime. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and experience with CMMS and MS Office. A Journeyman-level HVAC/Electrical background is preferred, with potential for travel and on-site work

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in datacenter or technical facilities with high school diploma or GED.
• Enhanced background screening is required prior to hire.
• Strong troubleshooting background.
• Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
• Familiar with MS Office programs and CMMS systems.
• HVAC or Electrical with Journeyman preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC, Electrical and Automated Controls Systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, Electrical and Automated Controls Systems.
• Follow all local and industry safety standards and regulations.
• Attend daily maintenance meeting to discuss operations.
• Assist in creating Maintenance Operating Procedures.
• Update Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Perform Electrical power isolation procedures.
• Inspect data hall rack equipment and power/ground bonding.
• Inspect and verify integrity of systems during routine checks.
• Respond to incidents or instrument failures to minimize outages.
• Assist with ordering parts for maintenance needs.
• Perform drills and training for emergency responses.
