Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Critical Facility Technician to maintain and repair complex mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities such as data centers and hospitals.

This role requires extensive HVAC expertise, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to manage maintenance in high-security environments. Applicants should have 10+ years of experience, including 3+ years in critical facilities, with EPA 608 certification and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or greater.
• 10+ years of work experience including 3+ years in a direct critical facility operation (data center, hospital).
• Must be subject to a government security investigation; ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
• Mechanical candidates should have experience with chillers >300 tons, boilers, or similar.
• Must pass the NITC Journey Level HVAC Exam within the first year.
• Must possess EPA 608 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and operate complex HVAC systems: chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH, air handling units.
• Install, maintain, and repair minor plumbing systems (pumps, valves, piping).
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Monitor environmental systems via BMS platforms (Niagara Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls).
• Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams.
• Use CMMS software to document work orders and maintenance activities.
