Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. seeks a skilled technician to maintain critical facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and support emergency responses to protect uptime and data integrity across the facility. Responsibilities include coordinating with onsite operations, supervising junior technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of power density and parity with HVAC system capacities.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and their components.
• Must be committed to excellence and generate a high quality of work.
• Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment

Responsibilities

• Ensures all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operate at peak efficiency.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and daily corrective work; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource reporting to a program manager; coordinate with OEO and vendors.
• Oversee contractors for electrical duties and guide junior technicians.
• Maintain documentation and logs in CMMS; prepare cost estimates for parts and services.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate critical environment activities to ensure uptime.
