Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Principal Design Manager to lead enterprise-level design for its data center portfolio. You will govern design approaches, shape playbooks, and advise senior leaders on technology strategies across global sites.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of experience in data center design programs, strong governance skills, and a four-year engineering degree with US citizenship. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Professional registration or engineering license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise design leadership for major data center programs.
• Shape global reference designs, delivery models, and assurance playbooks.
• Advise executive leadership on design strategy, commercial trade-offs, and long-term capability needs.
• Partner cross-functionally across Construction, Operations, Finance, and Security while mentoring senior practitioners.
